ASB Leadership

ASB Leadership at Concord High School develops young students into servant, responsible, and ethical leaders  While individual improvement is an element of the program, the overall focus is to craft a positive and accepting student culture that embraces and recognizes individuality. Developing initiatives and committees to include all students, recognize student achievements, and create a community of positivity and pride, is among the core principles of the program.

In 2017 and 2018, the ASB Leadership program at CHS was recognized as an Outstanding Leadership Program by the California Association of Student Leaders (CASL).

Hello Senior and Junior Families,

We are happy to announce that this year's Prom will be held on Friday, April 29th at San Francisco City Hall and that the theme, voted on by upperclassmen, is Met Gala! Contracts are already available in the treasurer's office and ticket sales have started so we want to give you all the information you need about prom so your Senior and Junior students can attend!

First off, the actual dance will happen from 8:00pm to 12:00am at SF City Hall. Students will meet at CHS around 6pm to check in and board buses and will be back to school after the dance around 1am.

Concord High School Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend prom. Each Junior and Senior is allowed a plus one, and able to invite either a CHS underclassman or outside guest to prom as long as they are not over the age of 20. CHS students and outside guests attending prom must turn in a signed contract, which can be picked up from the treasurer's office and must be turned in to student services by Friday, April 15.

Prom ticket sales End on Wednesday, April 20. Students may only purchase a ticket if they have a signed contract turned in. Ticket prices are $140 for CHS Seniors and Juniors with ASB and $155 for outside guests, CHS underclassmen, and Seniors and Juniors without ASB.

For safety reasons, all students attending prom must ride the charter buses to and from San Francisco City Hall. Immediately after buying a ticket, students must sign themselves (and their plus one) up for a bus. There will be 9 charter buses to choose from that will seat 55 students each. After signing up for a bus, students are not allowed to change their bus for any reason, so if they want to be on the same bus as friends, they must coordinate before buying their tickets. Again, students must ride to and from the venue in the bus they signed up for.

At this time, San Francisco City Hall guidelines do NOT require students to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative covid test . We will continue to follow SF City Hall regulations and update parents and students about that matter if it changes.

Now for some fun details…

After arriving at the luxurious location of San Francisco City Hall, the dance will start. There will be a DJ playing music throughout the night to enjoy. There will be a taco station available for dinner, which includes 3 different types of protein (vegetarian option), lots of toppings, and chips & guacamole. There will also be an unlimited chocolate fountain with 5 different types of dip-ables (Strawberries, brownies, marshmallows, rice krispy treats, and pretzels) for dessert or just to snack on throughout the night. For students that don’t want to dance the whole night, other activities will be provided as well! There will be a photobooth for students to take pictures together and take photo strips home, along with lots of games such as ping pong and air hockey to play. During the night Senior and Junior Royalty will also be announced!

All steps included in this posting must be complete in order for your student to attend prom. We want them to have a safe, fun time. If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of the senior officers. Thank you.
